DETROIT BLUES SOCIETY CROWNS A NEW QUEEN OF DETROIT BLUES

A new Queen of Detroit Blues was crowned this past summer and her name is Thornetta Davis.  Thornetta has been singing Blues since she was kid and has performed with such musical greats as Gladys Knight, Etta James and Bonnie Raitt.  She sang backup on Bob Seger’s 1991 album The Fire Inside, and Kid Rock’s albums Devil Without a Cause (1998) and Kid Rock (2003).  She also sang on the former Detroit Blues Queen Alberta Adams’ 2008 album Detroit Is My Home, so...
